BJP’s Gaurav Bhatia Accuses Gandhi Family Of ‘Unmatched Corruption’

In a press conference on Saturday, BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia criticized Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, alleging that she failed to fully disclose details in her nomination affidavit for the Wayanad by-election. Bhatia emphasized that the omission violated Supreme Court guidelines, which require candidates to provide comprehensive information on their criminal history, assets, and the financial details of their spouse and dependents.

Allegations of ‘Constitutional Violations’

Bhatia argued that Priyanka’s alleged lack of transparency highlights a disregard for constitutional mandates. “If there’s any most corrupt political family in the whole world, it is the Gandhi family,” Bhatia asserted, adding that the family seems to believe they are above the law. He further criticized the Gandhis for allegedly attempting to “fool the public” by concealing personal wealth.

Demand for Clarification from Priyanka Gandhi

Bhatia called on Priyanka to respond to these allegations, urging her to clarify her position and answer public concerns over the affidavit’s omissions. As she begins her political campaign, Bhatia noted that such questions must be addressed transparently for public accountability.

Wayanad Bypoll Details

This bypoll comes after the Congress party officially approved Priyanka Gandhi’s candidacy on October 15. The Wayanad seat, vacated by Rahul Gandhi following his retention of Rae Bareli, is set for a crucial election on November 13, with vote counting scheduled for November 23.
