In a key strategic move, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced the launch of ‘Vijay Sankalp Abhiyan’, a unique campaign targeting the upcoming Madhya Pradesh assembly elections. This announcement came following a crucial meeting chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Bhopal on Tuesday.
Amit Shah’s decision to launch the campaign in Madhya Pradesh emerged from an intensive review of the party’s preparations for the imminent polls, revealed Madhya Pradesh BJP president VD Sharma. The Home Minister’s visit to Bhopal was specifically intended for the party meeting, where he closely assessed the current political situation and the party’s election strategies.
The meeting convened by Shah was marked by in-depth discussions around various facets of the political situation in Madhya Pradesh, with a focus on fine-tuning the party’s electoral strategies. The objective was to evaluate and enhance the BJP’s preparedness for the forthcoming elections.
Joining the Home Minister were Union ministers Bhupender Yadav and Ashwini Vaishnaw, appointed BJP incharges for Madhya Pradesh, alongside their cabinet colleagues Narendra Singh Tomar, Jyotiraditya Scindia and Prahlad Patel. Other noteworthy attendees included the BJP’s national joint organisation general secretary Shivprakash and MP-Chhattisgarh incharge Ajay Jamwal.
A warm welcome awaited Shah upon his arrival at the airport by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, state BJP president VD Sharma, Scindia, Tomar, Patel and the state cabinet ministers. Following the significant discussions, the Home Minister proceeded to leave for the airport from the party office.
