According to hospital officials, his condition is stable, and he is currently under observation. The BJP co-founder is under the care of senior consultant neurologist Dr. Vinit Suri.
Last Wednesday, Advani was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi. At that time, an AIIMS spokesperson provided a similar update, noting that the 96-year-old leader was “stable and under observation.”
Advani held the position of Minister of Home Affairs from 1998 to 2004 and served as deputy prime minister from 2002 to 2004. He was also the BJP’s prime ministerial candidate in the 2009 general election.
