The Telangana unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday asserted that the party is steadily expanding its political footprint in the state, highlighting its recent victory in the Karimnagar Municipal Corporation as a significant milestone. Addressing the media at the party’s state office, BJP State President Ramachandra Rao said the party had, for the first time in Telangana’s history, independently secured the Mayor’s post in Karimnagar.

He congratulated Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar for his leadership and efforts that contributed to the victory, while also appreciating district in-charges Manohar Reddy and Praveen Rao for their organisational work and responsibility in ensuring electoral success.

Rao noted that the election of educationist Saugani Komarayya, who runs Vivekananda educational institutions and provides education to thousands of students, as a corporator and his subsequent entry into the BJP reflected growing public confidence in the party. He described the development as encouraging, stating that individuals contributing to society and shaping students’ futures were increasingly aligning with the BJP’s ideology.

Claiming that the BJP is gaining momentum across Telangana, Rao said the number of people joining the party continues to rise, inspired by its policies and the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
