BJP Activist Praveen Nettaru’s Murder Case: Prime Suspect Arrested

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has detained the primary suspect in the 2022 murder of Praveen Nettaru, a member of the Karnataka BJP Yuva Morcha, in Bengaluru.
According to authorities, NIA agents apprehended the defendant, Mustafa Paichar, from his hiding place in Karnataka.

On July 26, 2022, Praveen Nettaru was fatally attacked by two assailants riding a motorcycle in Bellare village, located in Karnataka’s Dakshina Kannada district. The incident occurred in Sullia Taluk. Nettaru’s assailants, allegedly affiliated with the Popular Front of India’s ‘Killer Squads’ or ‘Service Teams,’ carried out the attack. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) assumed control of the case in August 2022.
