BIG UPDATE | Missing Katni Girl Archana Tiwari Found Safe Near Nepal Border

Advocate Archana Tiwari, missing since August 7 from Narmada Express, was traced near Nepal border after 12 days. Police detained a constable linked to her but await her statement to clarify whether she vanished voluntarily or not.

The missing Katni girl, 28-year-old advocate Archana Tiwari, has been found safe 12 days later near the Bhopal border at Palikalan in Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh. She went missing from the Narmada Express in Bhopal on August 7. 

Bhopal Railway SP Rahul Lodha said, “Archana Tiwari has been found safe." However, he did not mention how she reached there however, further details will be revealed after her questioning on Wednesday. The GRP will now bring her back to Bhopal.

Archana called her adopted brother, Youth Congress District President Divyanshu Anshu Mishra, on Tuesday morning and assured him that she is safe, providing relief to the family. 

Archana was preparing for judicial services in Indore. She had boarded the train to visit Katni for Rakshabandhan, but never got off it and went missing. She was last traced at Tani Kamlapati Railway Station before her phone switched off. The radio silence from her end devastated the family in fear of an accident or worse tragedies.

After that, a massive search was launched. GRP and cyber police scanned CCTVs and railway tracks. Rescue teams were camped in Lakhmipur Kheri for three days, after receiving inputs that she might be crossing into Nepal. 

Meanwhile, Constable Ram Tomar was detained after his cell number was found several times in Archana's call records. Ram Tomar admitted that he had known Archana and booked her train tickets, but had no hand in her disappearance. Soon after his detention, Archana contacted her family. 

It is still unclear if she was kidnapped or ran away voluntarily. Further details are awaited after her questioning on Wednesday.
