Baramulla police in North Kashmir have taken strict action against two local organisations for suspected illegal activities and financial irregularities. The police launched a criminal investigation against Idarah Fallah-u-Darain and a preliminary enquiry into Al Huda Educational Institute and its managing trust. Both actions were based on specific intelligence and complaints about law violations.

Criminal Investigation Against Idarah Fallah-u-Darain

Jammu and Kashmir Police registered an FIR at Baramulla Police Station against Idarah Fallah-u-Darain. The police conducted coordinated raids at multiple offices, premises, and assets linked to the association. Several office-bearers and members were questioned as part of the ongoing probe.

“The investigation is in full swing, and further action will be taken strictly in accordance with the law based on evidence collected. An FIR No. 208/2025 has been registered at Police Station Baramulla against Idarah Fallah-u-Darain,” said Jammu and Kashmir Police.

The authorities confirmed that the investigation will continue until all irregularities are properly examined.

Preliminary Enquiry into Al Huda Educational Institute

In a separate move, police at Tangmarg Police Station started a Preliminary Enquiry under DDR No. 09 against Al Huda Educational Institute and its managing trust. The probe was triggered after complaints about serious violations, including:

  • Suspected breaches of the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA).
  • Possible tax evasion due to incomplete or improper financial records.
  • Absence of required accreditations for the institute.
  • Illegal construction of buildings on state land without proper permissions.
  • Police said the enquiry aims to ensure the institute complies with all legal, financial, and regulatory requirements.

Authorities Assure Strict Legal Action

Both investigations are being closely monitored at senior levels. Authorities assured that the probes will be impartial, thorough, and time-bound. They emphasised that strict legal action will follow against anyone found guilty.

Boosting Accountability in North Kashmir

Officials say these actions signal a strong move to enhance transparency and accountability in North Kashmir. By investigating both social and educational organisations, the administration aims to ensure legal compliance and proper use of resources.

Residents welcomed the crackdown, saying it reflects the government’s commitment to curb unlawful practices and protect community interests. Authorities also indicated that similar audits and inspections could be conducted across other districts to maintain law and order and uphold financial transparency.
