Bageshwar Dham in Madhya Pradesh Draws Lakhs of Devotees on New Year’s Day

In a joyous start to the New Year, lakhs of devotees from various parts of the country and around the world converged at the renowned Bageshwar Dham in Madhya Pradesh’s Chhatarpur district. Devotees began gathering early in the morning to seek the divine blessings of Balaji.

A special aarti of Balaji Sarkar was conducted at Bageshwar Dham to mark the occasion of the New Year. Pradeep Shastri, the priest at Bageshwar Dham, extended his heartfelt wishes to the entire nation on the English New Year. He expressed hope that Balaji Sarkar would bring happiness to everyone’s lives. Thousands of devotees flocked to the temple, with people coming from different parts of the country and across the globe to offer prayers to Balaji Sarkar.

The celebration of the New Year extended to various temples across the country, where devotees gathered to offer prayers and seek divine blessings. Sree Sampath Vinayagar Temple in Visakhapatnam witnessed serpentine queues, while devotees in Odisha thronged Puri Srimandir to offer prayers to Lord Jagannath, with temple doors opened early to accommodate the New Year rush.

In Kerala, Sabarimala temple drew a large number of devotees on New Year’s Eve. Tamil Nadu saw gatherings at Sri Ayyappan Temple, and devotees in Hyderabad visited the Shri Bhagya Lakshmi temple at Charminar. Adhyapith Dakshineswar Kali Temple in Kolkata received a significant number of devotees, while people in Bhopal marked the New Year by offering prayers at the Kali temple.

In Delhi, a special New Year’s aarti took place at Jhandewalan Devi Temple, and Connaught Place saw sizable crowds welcoming the New Year. Devotees in Balighattam village of Anakapalli district in Andhra Pradesh paid homage to a Shivalinga with historical significance, and Siliguri residents offered prayers at Anandamoyi Kalibari temple.

The diverse celebrations at various temples across the country highlighted spiritual fervour and cultural richness as people welcomed the New Year with prayers and devotion.
