As Diwali celebrations draw near, Ayodhya is once again adorned with festive decorations. Banners and posters featuring Lord Rama are prominently displayed at various locations, captivating the attention of residents and visitors alike.
This year, the grand Deepotsav festival in Ayodhya will precede Diwali, and it is anticipated to be even more spectacular than in previous years. Organizers plan to illuminate 21 lakh lamps, exceeding last year’s display. The event will feature a Ramlila performance with a laser show and a dazzling fireworks display. Elaborate preparations are underway for all the festivities.
Banner posters at different locations depict key events from Lord Ram’s life, along with verses from the Ramcharitra Manas. Information about the Sunderkand, Ayodhya, and other related stories is conveyed through these posters. Additionally, work is in progress to install underground lighting along the streets, ensuring a clean and organized display without visible wires.
The residents of Ayodhya are eagerly awaiting the festival of lights and express their pride in being part of a city known for its spiritual significance. They are pleased with the state government’s efforts to construct the grand Ram Mandir and the annual Deep Utsav celebration, both of which contribute to a positive experience for the community.
This year’s Deep Utsav holds special importance, as it coincides with the consecration of the Lord Ram idol, scheduled for January 22, 2024. The Ram Janmabhoomi Trust has extended an invitation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who, along with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat, is expected to attend the consecration ceremony at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
