This festival celebrated over four days is among the most important festivals in north India, representing purity, thankfulness, and discipline. From Kharna Prasad to the Sandhya Arghya at sunset, every ritual carries deep spiritual significance for those keeping the fast.

Chhath Puja 2022 Sandhya Arghya Date and Time in Ayodhya

Where the emphasis is placed on 2025, note that in 2022 the Sandhya Arghya (evening offering) took place on the correct day of the four-day festival cycle. According to tradition, devotees congregate at the water’s edge at sunset to make prayers to the declining sun.

Chhath Puja 2025 Usha Arghya Sunrise Time in Ayodhya

The final morning of the festival, Usha Arghya the offering to the dawn occurs on Tuesday, 28 October 2025. The devotees in Ayodhya wake up early before sunrise to offer their Arghya to Surya Dev, ending the fast and the rituals.
