Arvind Kejriwal Rules Out AAP-Congress Alliance for Delhi Assembly Polls

In a significant development for the opposition INDIA bloc, AAP leader and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has confirmed that his party will not form an alliance with the Congress for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections.

Kejriwal, who is also the convener of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), made it clear that there would be no tie-up between the two parties for the polls, sending a jolt to the opposition unity. In a statement, Kejriwal said, “There will be no alliance,” effectively ruling out any collaboration with Congress for the Delhi elections.

This announcement comes as a setback to the INDIA alliance, which has been attempting to unite opposition parties in several states ahead of the 2024 general elections. The AAP, which has been in power in Delhi since 2015, has continued to push for its own agenda, focusing on local issues and governance rather than national alliances.

The decision by Kejriwal to not align with Congress is expected to affect the political dynamics in Delhi, where both AAP and Congress have traditionally been rivals.
