Arvind Kejriwal Judicial Custody Extended Until September 3 in CBI Case on Liquor Excise Policy

The Delhi Rouse Avenue Court has extended the judicial custody of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal until September 3 in connection with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) case concerning the now-scrapped Delhi liquor excise policy for 2021-22.

During the hearing, the court also reserved its decision on the fourth supplementary chargesheet filed by the CBI, which lists Kejriwal and five others as accused in the case. The next hearing has been scheduled for September 3, where the court is expected to review the chargesheet and make a decision on the proceedings.

The case revolves around allegations of irregularities and corruption in the implementation of the Delhi liquor excise policy, leading to its cancellation. The CBI’s investigation has brought significant political attention to the matter, with Kejriwal’s judicial custody marking a key development in the ongoing probe.
