Following Ranveer Allahbadia’s inflammatory remarks on the show, social media influencer Apoorva Mukhija, a member of the India’s Got Latent panel, is now under relentless internet harassment. Though Allahbadia has been criticized for his supposed crude comment, Mukhija is now also receiving social media vitriol.

Apoorva Mukhija, dubbed The Rebel Kid on Instagram, has been getting death threats, sexual harassment threats, and derogatory communications, according to the Free Press Journal. Rida Tharana, her friend, used Instagram to denounce the assaults and back Mukhija.

“I’ve never doubted that some people hate women simply for being women just for breathing, existing, loving themselves, and daring to grow. A woman could have the same issue as anyone else, but the fact that she’s a woman always makes it worse. How do you ever feel safe when you’re constantly threatened, scared for your life, and living in a country that was supposed to protect you?” she wrote.

Rida further added, “It’s so unfair, the hate and cruelty she’s being put through. I just hope none of you ever have to experience what she’s going through.”

Mukhija has been expelled from Rajasthan Tourism’s find shoot along IIFA as well as suffering Internet insults. The Rajasthan Tourism Department officially stated IIFA had told them she had been taken off their list of sponsors. Originally, she was listed to do a promotional treasure hunt shoot at City Palace, Amarai Ghat, and Pichola Lake with actor Ali Fazal on February 20 in Udaipur; nevertheless, her name has been pulled off the campaign now.

Mukhija on the other hand is under legal problem since she was recently interrogated by the authorities following an FIR against her. Comedian Samay Raina removed all episodes of India’s Got Latent from YouTube, while Ranveer Allahbadia has apologized for his statements.
