Amit Shah Vows Terror-Free, Drug-Free India By 2047: Bold Vision For Internal Security

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, in an inspiring speech on Tuesday, painted a hopeful picture for India’s future, declaring that by 2047, the country will be free from terrorism and drugs. Addressing the 2023 batch of Indian Police Service (IPS) probationers in the capital, Shah emphasized the vital role the police and internal security forces play in shaping a safe and developed nation.

Strengthening Borders and Reducing Violence

Shah confidently stated that no one dares to disrespect India’s borders or soldiers, thanks to strong governance. He credited a reduction of 70% in violence across major hotspots, including Jammu and Kashmir, the Northeast, and regions affected by Left Wing Extremism. “The big movements are fast disappearing because democratic processes have replaced violent means,” Shah noted.

Empowering the Police Force

Amit Shah urged the police to take the lead in protecting citizens’ rights, reducing crime, and ensuring swift justice. “The responsibility for doing this lies on the shoulders of our police force,” he stressed, highlighting their central role in maintaining peace and security.

Technological Advancements in Policing

Shah also praised the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS), which has connected 99% of police stations across India, making law enforcement more efficient. He further emphasized the importance of new criminal laws that ensure timely justice and boost the conviction rate by incorporating scientific evidence.

Transforming India’s Legal System

In his address, Shah also revealed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the first scientific unit in Chandigarh this November, marking the beginning of a nationwide transformation in India’s legal system.

By 2047, as Shah envisioned, India will not only be a developed nation but will also stand strong with an internal security apparatus capable of keeping terrorism and drugs at bay, securing a brighter and safer future for generations to come.
