At Hyderabad, Telangana’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA), Union Home Minister Amit Shah observed the 75th batch of Indian Police Service (IPS) probationers’ passing-out parade on Friday. After today’s ceremonial march, the Home Minister will speak to the probationers. Amit Garg, the director of the Academy, announced earlier on Wednesday in a press conference that 175 officer trainees in all, comprising 155 IPS officer trainees and 20 foreign officer trainees, will be participating in the parade. He went on to say that there are 155 IPS officer trainees, 32 of whom are female.
Among the foreign officer trainees, six are from Bhutan, five from Maldives, five from Nepal and four from the Mauritius police, he added.
