Alliance Air Launches ‘One Route One Fare Scheme’: Fixed Fare Plan to Boost Regional Travel

Alliance Air launches fixed airfare scheme ‘Fare se Fursat’ to make regional air travel affordable and stress-free under UDAN initiative.

Alliance Air, recently announced a novel scheme of airfares ‘Fare se Fursat’ meaning fixed or stress free fares by the government for the regional travel. In simple terms, this Means ticket fares being unaffected by the date of travel or booking.

The scheme trial run would commence on select routes between October 13 and December 31, 2025, wherein two major factors will be closely observed its operational feasibility and response from the public.

All About Alliance Air

Alliance Air acts as a lifeline for smaller cities, primarily tier 2 and 3 towns, to be connected into the national aviation network. Its fleet consists mainly of ATR turboprop aircraft type equipment consisting of eighteen ATR72-600 with a capacity of 72, two ATR42-600 of 48 passenger capacity and a Dornier Do28-228 with seating of 17. The airline follows a no-middle-seat policy for passenger’s comfort. The airline’s routes connect destinations such as Bhubaneshwar, Shimla, Guwahati and Tirupati with 137 flights daily.

Passengers traveling to and from small townships are the primary beneficiaries of the fare cycle scheme since airfare prices are stable, passengers no longer have to live with uncertainty and stress from fluctuating ticket prices towards time. This scheme has given credence to Alliance Air’s commitment to support the Union Government’s UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik) program for enhanced regional connectivity and to make air travel an affordable option for the common man.

What the Civil Aviation Minister Says About the System

Civil Aviation Minister Rammohan Naidu spoke about the government’s effort to ensure flying is economic and passenger friendly. He mentioned the need for the fare scheme to dampen one of the major passengers concerns airfare volatility. The minister commended Alliance Air for being the first to adopt this fare structure, which he felt was in keeping with the ethos of the new India welfare over profits.

What Other Ministers Are Saying About the One Route One Fare Scheme

Minister Naidu was joined at the inauguration by key senior executives including Civil Aviation Secretary Samir Kumar Sinha, Alliance Air Chairman Amit Kumar and CEO Rajarshi Sen who all praised the scheme for its potential to revolutionize regional air travel with fare stability and further strengthen the UDAN mission. The collective endorsement of the scheme illustrates a shared objective toward democratizing air travel in India’s smaller cities.

What are Udan Yatri Cafes?

Complementing the fare initiative are the UDAN Yatri Cafes which is an attempt to make the airports more hospitable and inexpensive. In these cafes, tea is sold for Rs. 10, coffee for Rs. 20 and snacks for Rs. 20, thereby providing passengers with inexpensive options for refreshment they await their flights. The cafes reflect an approach toward ensuring that the entire travel experience becomes dignified and easily accessible to all persons.
