On Wednesday, Air India flight AI129 from Mumbai to London was forced to return to Mumbai shortly after takeoff due to a technical issue. The aircraft landed safely, and precautionary checks were conducted, according to an Air India spokesperson.
“We sincerely regret the inconvenience caused by this unexpected disruption. Alternative arrangements have been made to ensure passengers reach their destination as soon as possible,” the spokesperson stated.
Air India has also offered passengers full refunds for cancellations and complimentary rescheduling to another date if desired. “At Air India, the safety and well-being of our customers and crew is our top priority,” the spokesperson added.
