Air India Air Hostess Brutally Attacked in London Hotel; Investigation Underway

An Air India air hostess was brutally attacked by an unidentified assailant at a London hotel earlier this week. The airline confirmed the incident, stating that a police complaint has been filed and an investigation is underway. Air India assured that the air hostess is receiving psychological support and emphasized their full support for her during this difficult time.

“We are providing all possible assistance to our colleague and their team, including professional counseling. We are deeply distressed by this unlawful intrusion at a hotel operated by a major international chain, which impacted one of our crew members. Air India is collaborating with local authorities to ensure the matter is pursued to the fullest extent of the law and is working with the hotel management to prevent such incidents in the future. We request that the privacy of those involved be respected,” an Air India spokesperson stated.

The airline reiterated that they are taking the incident very seriously and are committed to seeking justice for the air hostess. They also stressed the importance of safeguarding her safety, privacy, and well-being.

“Air India places the highest priority on the safety, security, and well-being of our crew and staff members. We are deeply distressed by this unlawful intrusion at a hotel, operated by a major international chain, which affected one of our crew members,” the statement read.

Due to the severity of her injuries, the air hostess was later admitted to a hospital in London. Sources indicate that the attack occurred after midnight while the crew members were asleep. The intruder, whose identity remains unknown, allegedly entered the air hostess’s room and attacked her with a hanger. Her screams alerted the hotel staff, whose timely intervention brought the situation under control.

Officials have confirmed that the investigation is ongoing, and the air hostess has since been brought back to India.
