Activa rider killed in truck accident, driver absconds

A person died in a road accident on Zirakpur Kalka Road on Wednesday. After the accident, the accused truck driver fled from the spot with the truck. The police have taken the body into custody and started further action. According to the information received, people present on the spot said that at around 3:30 pm, a person was going towards Panchkula on an Activa. Meanwhile, a speeding truck coming from behind hit him. Due to which he came under the truck and was seriously injured. They told that he was taken to Dhakoli Hospital by 108 ambulance which reached the spot. Where doctors declared him dead. People told that during this accident, the mobile phone of the Activa rider also broke.

The employee present on the ambulance told that no such document was found with the deceased, which could identify him. He told that the mobile is also broken, due to which it is impossible to extract any number. According to eyewitnesses, the number of the deceased’s Activa is from Panchkula and material for making momos and burgers etc. was present in his Activa, from which it is being assumed that the deceased might be a burger worker.
