Accident Claims Life of Student, Four Others Injured on Rajouri-Kotranka Road

In a heartbreaking incident on the Rajouri-Kotranka Road near the Palma area, a school-going student lost their life, and four others were injured when a private car skidded off the road on Thursday, officials reported.

The vehicle, identified by its registration number JK11E 8411, was transporting students to school when it tragically veered off the road. The impact of the accident claimed the life of one student on the spot, while the four other passengers suffered injuries of varying degrees.

The injured students were immediately rushed to Government Medical College (GMC) Rajouri for urgent medical attention. As of now, their identities have not been confirmed, and the severity of their injuries remains unclear.

Local police have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident. Initial reports suggest that the vehicle may have lost control due to treacherous road conditions, though further details are awaited.

This accident is a tragic reminder of the dangers that lurk on the roads, particularly in hilly areas where conditions can change suddenly and without warning. The community mourns the loss of a young life, and the investigation will hopefully bring clarity and justice to those affected by this tragedy.
