ABVP plans protest outside Bang Bhavan over Sandeshkhali incident today

The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) is gearing up for a significant protest outside Bang Bhavan on Tuesday, condemning the Sandeshkhali incident. ABVP members took proactive measures by distributing pamphlets in various Delhi University colleges, shedding light on the reported atrocities in Sandeshkhali and encouraging student participation in the upcoming protest.

The Sandeshkhali incident unfolded in North 24 Parganas district, West Bengal, where women allegedly faced forced sexual assault and land grabbing by members of the ruling Trinamool Congress party.
The incident has sparked nationwide protests against the West Bengal government’s handling of the situation.

In a proactive move, ABVP Delhi distributed around 20,000 pamphlets across 51 colleges in the city today, creating awareness about the Sandeshkhali incident and calling on students to join the protest against the West Bengal government on Tuesday.
Harsh Atri, the ABVP state secretary for Delhi, expressed strong criticism of the West Bengal government, describing it as anti-women.

Atri pointed out the concerning pattern of influential party leaders committing crimes against women in a state led by a woman Chief Minister. He underscored the need for officers to resist becoming mere puppets of those in power, pledging to lead a campaign against officials who act solely at the behest of their political masters.
