According to police reports, the two youths were riding in an erratic and hazardous manner, producing loud noises with their modified bike silencer while swerving dangerously in a zigzag pattern.

Police Statement

As per a statement from Delhi Police cited by ANI, “The motorcycle was being ridden recklessly in a zigzag pattern. Upon being stopped, one of the boys identified himself as the son of AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan and accused the officers of bias. When asked for a driving license and ID, they refused to comply, stating they did not require them.”

The police further stated that one of the individuals called Amanatullah Khan, who spoke with the Station House Officer (SHO). The boys then left without providing their personal details. Their motorcycle was subsequently impounded, and a case was filed under various sections of the Motor Vehicle Act.

Political Reactions

The incident has sparked political controversy, with BJP leader Harish Upadhyay criticizing AAP leaders over the alleged misconduct. “AAP MLAs are involved in extortion and maintaining ties with gangsters. Yesterday, Amanatullah Khan’s son misbehaved with the SHO, asserting his political influence. If anyone has disrupted the law and order of the country, it is AAP,” he remarked.

The case has raised concerns about the enforcement of traffic laws and the alleged misuse of political influence to evade accountability.
