AAP Delivered on Promises, Claims Raghav Chadha in Delhi Poll Campaign

In an interview with India Today TV, Raghav Chadha, Rajya Sabha MP and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader, defended his party’s record in Delhi, emphasizing that the AAP had “delivered what was promised” through various schemes and initiatives over the years.

Chadha highlighted several key achievements, stating that the Delhi government had constructed over 10,000 kilometers of roads, built 38 new flyovers, and installed around 7,000 kilometers of new sewage and drainage lines, along with 4,000 kilometers of water pipelines. He also pointed out the establishment of more than 500 mohalla clinics, adding 9,000 beds to Delhi’s hospitals, and the construction of nearly 23,000 classrooms with world-class infrastructure in schools. Additionally, Chadha underscored the party’s flagship schemes, including free electricity and water, which have been consistently implemented.

On AAP’s preparedness for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections, Chadha acknowledged that although it’s the holiday season, his party was actively gearing up. He praised Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for his extensive outreach over the past month, sharing his vision and plans for the next five years, such as the Mahila Samman Yojana, the Sanjeevani Yojana, and other promises for Dalit households.

In response to criticisms from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) regarding AAP’s performance, Chadha dismissed the claims as “fictional charge sheets,” noting that even their critics acknowledge the party’s significant work in education and healthcare.

Chadha also addressed concerns regarding issues like water shortages and cleaning the Yamuna river. While acknowledging that more work was needed in these areas, he explained that progress had been hindered by challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic and the incarceration of senior AAP leaders, including Arvind Kejriwal, Satyendar Jain, and Manish Sisodia.
