
On India’s 79th Independence Day, PM Modi vowed zero tolerance to nuclear threats, criticized the Indus Waters Treaty, and demanded justice for farmers while honoring freedom fighters’ sacrifices.
During the Independence Day speech, Prime Minister Narendra Modi issued a stone warning to Pakistan, saying that India will not given to any nuclear threats. The PM said that new India does not compromise in anything.
“India has decided that it will not tolerate nuclear threats anymore. We won’t fall for any blackmail,” he said.

He further stated that India has decided that blood and water cannot flow together now. He asserted, “The people have come to realize that the Indus Waters Treaty is unjust. Water from the Indus River system has been irrigating the lands of the enemy, while our own farmers have suffered. What kind of agreement is this that has caused such immense loss to our farmers for the past seven decades?”
