During the Independence Day speech, Prime Minister Narendra Modi issued a stone warning to Pakistan, saying that India will not given to any nuclear threats. The PM said that new India does not compromise in anything.

“India has decided that it will not tolerate nuclear threats anymore. We won’t fall for any blackmail,” he said.

He further stated that India has decided that blood and water cannot flow together now. He asserted, “The people have come to realize that the Indus Waters Treaty is unjust. Water from the Indus River system has been irrigating the lands of the enemy, while our own farmers have suffered. What kind of agreement is this that has caused such immense loss to our farmers for the past seven decades?”

India is celebrating its 79th Independence Day remembering and honoring the sacrifice of freedom fighters and leaders who fought tooth and nail and ended 200-year long British colonial rule on India in 1947.
