3820 Metric Tons of Paddy procured in Panchkula markets, 3517 Metric Tons lifted

Deputy Commissioner Dr. Yash Garg reported that on October 29 (Tuesday), 3,820 metric tons of paddy arrived in the three grain markets of District Panchkula. Various agencies purchased 3,820 metric tons of this paddy, and a total of 3,517 metric tons was lifted from all the grain markets.
The Deputy Commissioner stated that on the previous day, 780 metric tons of paddy arrived in Panchkula grain market, 820 metric tons in Barwala grain market, and 2,220 metric tons in Raipur Rani grain market. The paddy arriving in the markets was purchased by HAFED. He mentioned that HAFED lifted 780 metric tons from Panchkula, 2,220 metric tons from Raipur Rani, and Haryana Warehousing lifted 820 metric tons from Barwala grain market.
Dr. Yash Garg further noted that so far, a total of 81,125 metric tons of paddy has arrived in the district’s grain markets. This includes 9,180 metric tons in Panchkula grain market, 43,125 metric tons in Barwala grain market, and 28,820 metric tons in Raipur Rani grain market. A total of 59,221 metric tons of paddy has been lifted by agencies from all the grain markets.
He also mentioned that HAFED purchased 8,680 metric tons from Panchkula grain market, 27,050 metric tons from Barwala grain market, and 28,820 metric tons from Raipur Rani grain market, while Haryana Warehousing purchased 500 metric tons from Panchkula grain market and 16,075 metric tons from Barwala grain market.
He reported that so far, 14,589 farmers have brought their paddy to the grain markets in the district. The Deputy Commissioner instructed the agencies to expedite the lifting process and appealed to farmers to manage crop residue rather than burning it.
