35 Congress leaders from Rajasthan to oversee Delhi polls’ campaigns

In a strategic move ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections, the Congress party has assigned 35 leaders from Rajasthan to oversee the election campaigns in various constituencies across Delhi. The appointed team includes a mix of current Members of Parliament (MPs), Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs), former MLAs, and state officials, all tasked with managing the election efforts in their respective constituencies and providing daily reports to the party on the progress of the campaign.

The Congress party has entrusted several high-profile leaders with the responsibility of managing key constituencies. Among the appointed leaders are four MPs and nine current MLAs. These leaders have been assigned specific areas to coordinate election efforts and ensure the party’s message reaches voters effectively.

Kuldeep Indora, the Ganganagar MP, has been tasked with managing the Bijwasan constituency.

Rahul Kaswan, the MP from Churu, will handle the election campaign in Najafgarh.

Bhajanlal Jatav, another MP, along with Zahida Khan, a former minister, will coordinate efforts in the Seemapuri constituency.

Sanjana Jatav, a prominent MP, along with Ashok Chandna, an MLA, will oversee the Kasturba Nagar seat. These leaders will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the party’s strategies are effectively implemented at the constituency level, targeting voters and addressing local issues.

In addition to current MPs and MLAs, the Congress party has appointed 11 former MLAs to oversee election campaigns in various important seats. These former legislators bring a wealth of experience and local knowledge that will be crucial in strengthening the party’s position in Delhi. Mamta Bhupesh, a former minister, has been given responsibility for the Ambedkar Nagar seat, while Pramod Jain Bhaiya will manage the Ballimaran constituency.
Ramlal Jat and Naseem Akhtar Insaf will oversee the Matiamahal constituency, and Zahida Khan will handle Seemapuri.

Other former MLAs, including Ashok Bairwa, Chetan Dudi, and Indraj Gurjar, will take charge of constituencies like Deoli, Chhatarpur, and Ghonda.

These leaders will bring their local networks and political experience to manage the electoral process and ensure effective campaigning.

The Congress party has also appointed five leaders who previously contested elections but did not win, to handle election management in key constituencies. These individuals, despite their past setbacks, have remained integral to the party and are trusted to lead election efforts in critical areas.

Karan Singh Uchiyarda, who was the party’s MP candidate from Jodhpur, will manage the Mustafabad constituency. Sangeeta Beniwal, a former Lok Sabha candidate from Pali, will oversee the Adarsh Nagar seat. Rajendra Mund, who contested from Lunkaransar, will handle the Mundka constituency, and Pushpendra Bhardwaj, a former candidate from Sanganer, will be in charge of Badarpur.

These leaders, despite their previous electoral losses, will work to consolidate support for Congress and ensure strong campaigning in these constituencies.

In addition to political leaders, the Congress high command has also appointed six state officials to manage election campaigns in specific constituencies. These officials, including Deshraj Meena and Himmat Singh Gurjar, will oversee the Karawal Nagar constituency, while Mahesh Sharma will take charge of RK Puram. Other officials, including Ziaur Rahman, Balram Yadav, and Phool Singh Ola, have been assigned constituencies such as Rajouri Garden, Timarpur, and Mehrauli.

He stated that the people of Delhi are ready to support Congress and that the party’s candidates are strong. Julie believes that Congress candidates are well-positioned to secure victory. He assured that with such strong candidates and the continued support of Delhi’s residents, Congress is poised for a successful election outcome.

She expressed confidence in Congress’ success in the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections, stating that the people of Delhi are dissatisfied with both the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Barala believes Congress has a bright future in Delhi and assured that all Congress representatives will work tirelessly to secure the party’s victory.

Ram Niwas Gawadiya, MLA from Parbatsar, also expressed optimism for Congress, stating that the party will fight with full strength and emerge victorious in Delhi. He accused the BJP of engaging in divisive politics, seeking to pit people against each other based on religion and caste.

Rafiq Khan MLA from Adarsh Nagar constituency criticized the central government, calling it a failure in addressing public concerns. He also pointed out that AAP leader and former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal had faced imprisonment for corruption, underscoring AAP’s failure to live up to its promises.
