
The centre has invested ₹1 lakh crore in the PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PM-VBRY).
In another announcement on the special occasion of India’s 79th Independence Day, PM Modi announced the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana (PM-VBRY). Under this scheme first time, private sector employees will get ₹15000 from the government with added incentives for the companies providing the opportunity.
In his Independence Day speech, PM Modi said that ₹1 lakh crore has been invested in the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana. This scheme is aimed towards encouraging India’s youth to pursue private sector jobs.
Under this scheme, any first-time private sector employee will get ₹15000. The PM also said that incentives will be provided to the companies that empower the youth with fresher opportunities.
The scheme is estimated to create around 3.5 job opportunities for the youth. The companies providing these opportunities can expect up to ₹3000 per employee per month, based on their salaries. The scheme will be available till 31st July 2027, with employer incentives for the manufacturing sector lasting for four years.

Addressing the nation in his annual speech, PM Modi has touched on several topics that are of concern to the nation as a whole. In his speech, he unveiled India’s plans to launch a National Deep Water Exploration Mission that has the potential to reduce India’s reliance on energy imports.
In addition, he promised GST reforms and reliefs this Diwali. He also mentioned various key figures in Indian history who helped push India towards success. He gave a moment to address Operation Sindhoor and what it meant for the nation.
“Entire India was outraged, and the entire world was shocked by such a massacre (Pahalgam)...Operation Sindoor is the expression of that outrage....Destruction in Pakistan is so massive that new revelations are being made every day and new information is coming out daily,” PM Modi said in his speech.
