Another Fatal Crash in Madhya Pradesh
Just days earlier, another tragic accident killed seven Maha Kumbh devotees in Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur district. Their mini-bus, returning from the Maha Kumbh Mela, collided with a truck around 8:30 AM on Tuesday.
Truck on Wrong Side Causes Disaster
According to District Collector Deepak Kumar Saxena, the crash happened 65 km from Jabalpur’s district headquarters. A truck, driving on the wrong side of the highway, rammed into the mini-bus. Eyewitnesses reported that the truck’s reckless movement led to the fatal crash. Several passengers remained trapped inside the wreckage.
Separate Accident in Bihar Kills Three
On the same day, another collision claimed three more lives. A truck crashed into an auto near the Muthani area in Bihar’s Kaimur district. The victims, who had also attended the Maha Kumbh Mela, lost their lives in the early-morning crash under the Mohania police station’s jurisdiction.
These back-to-back tragedies highlight the dangers of road travel during major religious gatherings. Authorities must enforce stricter safety measures to prevent more accidents.
