To promote the mineral stone industry and related sectors in the state, the state government is making efforts. In this direction, the 12th edition of India Stonemart-2024 will be inaugurated on February 1, 2024, at 11:00 am at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Center (JECC) Sitapura, under the auspices of the Center for Development of Stones (CDOS) with the keen attention of RICO. This international event of India Stonemart will be held from February 1 to February 4.
Minister of Industries and Commerce, Colonel Rajvardhan Rathore, stated that India Stonemart will prove successful in giving a new identity to the prosperous stone industry of the state on the global stage. Such initiatives will strengthen the state’s economy and open up new opportunities for employment for the youth. He said that this is a meaningful effort in the direction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Make in India program.
He informed that a special gallery called “Stone of Rajasthan Gallery” has been created in Stonemart, where excellent stones of Rajasthan will be displayed.
Principal Secretary of the Department of Industries and Commerce and Chairman of RICO, Ajitabh Sharma, said that marble, granite, sandstone, Kota stone, slate, quartz, stone mining and processing machinery, equipment, heavy machinery for mining, and various types of stones will be showcased in this exhibition.
On this occasion, RICO’s Managing Director Sudhir Kumar Sharma, Commissioner of Industries and Commerce Himanshu Gupta, along with senior officials of RICO and CDOS were present.
