India has 3,805 new records. Covid infections have decreased to 38,293 active cases

According to Union Health Ministry data updated on Saturday, India saw a single-day increase of 3,805 new coronavirus infections, bringing the country’s total of COVID-19 cases to 4,45,91,112, while active cases decreased to 38,293.

The death toll has risen to 5,28,655 with 26 fatalities, including 13 deaths reconciled by Kerala, according to data updated at 8 a.m.

Five of the 13 new fatalities were reported in Maharashtra, and two in Kerala.

The active cases account for 0.09 percent of all infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has risen to 98.73 percent, according to the health ministry.

In the last 24 hours, the active caseload has decreased by 1,290 cases. According to the health ministry, the daily positivity rate was 1.29 percent, while the weekly positivity rate was 1.39 percent.

The number of people who have recovered from the disease has risen to 4,40,24,164, with a case fatality rate of 1.19 percent.

So far, 218.68 crore doses of Covid vaccine have been administered in the country as part of the nationwide COVID-19 vaccination drive, according to the ministry.

India’s COVID-19 tally surpassed 20 lakh on August 2020, 30 lakh on August 23, 40 lakh on September 5, and 50 lakh on September 16.

It surpassed 60 lakh on September 28, 70 lakh on October 11, 80 lakh on October 29, 90 lakh on November 20, and one crore on December 19.

India passed the two crore mark on May 4, three crore on June 23 last year, and four crore on January 25 this year.
