Top leaders of the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance, or I.N.D.I.A., began important negotiations on Friday to provide structure to their grouping and spell out their plans to challenge the Bharatiya Janata Party-led NDA in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
During the third round of Opposition meetings, the leaders of the I.N.D.I.A. bloc are expected to issue a joint statement and declare the coordination panel, as well as certain sub-panels, to give proper shape to their poll plans.

“We demand fair election, not ‘one nation one election’. This move of ‘one nation one election’ is being brought to divert the attention from our demand for a fair election,” he added.
The remarks occurred after former President Ram Nath Kovind was tasked with chairing a committee to investigate the possibility of “one nation, one election.”
