The first match of the 3-match ODI series between India and West Indies (IND vs WI) will be played at the Queen’s Park Oval in Trinidad on Friday. Earlier, India’s team reached here after defeating the England team in ODI and T20 series.

Shikhar Dhawan has been handed over the command of India’s team in the ODI series against West Indies. But in the T20 series, Rohit Sharma will be seen captaining India. Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah have been rested from both the ODI and T20I series. However, both these players will return to the team in the Asia Cup.

Meanwhile, some big players of India have been rested in this series. Senior players like captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Jasprit Bumrah have been rested from the ODI series against West Indies. However, after this ODI series, captain Rohit Sharma will join the team for the 5-match T20 series against West Indies.

Talking about the match, both the teams would like to start the series with a win. The match will be telecast live on Prasar Bharati and DD Sports. The match will start at 7:00 pm Indian time and the toss will take place half an hour before the match.
