Gujarat, and the Central government has ordered these states to conduct intensive contact tracing, with at least 30 people to be traced for each corona case. Apart from this, the Centre has emphasised on formulating a strategy by the districts to stop the second wave of Covid-19.

The Union Health Secretary has said that in order to stem the tide of Corona’s second wave, an action plan should be prepared for each district where cases are rising. Large containment zones should be created especially in places where more cases are reported and at the same time the process of contact tracing should be intensified.

The states should make specific arrangement for hospital where the death toll from corona is higher, and have been directed to take immediate action to address administrative shortcomings in the district or city.

Corona has been fluctuating in Gujarat for the last one year. Officers worked day and night last year to stem the tide of Corona. In addition to the Health Bridge app last year, contact tracing was performed from the mobile location of the positive patient, and testing was done on all those who came in contact with him. The operation has not been performed this year.Yesterday, 2815 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours. A total of 13 patients died in Surat 5, Ahmedabad 4 and Rajkot, Bhavnagar, Tapi and Vadodara 1 each. The death toll in the state has reached 4552. The recovery rate of corona in the state is 94.03 per cent, the number of active cases of corona in the state has crossed 14 thousand and 2 lakh 96 thousand 713 patients have been discharged so far, while the condition of 14,137 patients is stable.

Record breaking vaccination has been done in the state and 4 lakh 88 thousand 568 people were vaccinated. So far 62 lakh 30 thousand 249 people have been vaccinated with the first dose and 7 lakh 64 thousand 347 people have been vaccinated with the second dose. A total of 69 lakh 94 thousand 596 vaccinations have been completed. Today, a total of 3 lakh 71 thousand 55 persons over 60 years of age and 45 to 60 years of age have been vaccinated with the first dose and 32 thousand 624 with the second dose. So far no one in the state has seen any serious side effects due to this vaccine.
