JP Nadda pays last respect to Shiromani Akali Dal patron Parkash Singh Badal

The national president of the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP), JP Nadda, paid his homage to Parkash Singh Badal, a supporter of the Shiromani Akali Dal, on Thursday by travelling to Lambi village in Punjab.

In Parkash Singh Badal’s home village, mourners continued to pay last respect to SAD patron. In order to offer his respects, NCP Chief Sharad Pawar also travelled to the Lambi village.The senior Punjabi politician passed away on Tuesday at the age of 95. At Fortis Hospital in Mohali, he passed away.

The Punjab administration declared a one-day holiday for all state government agencies earlier on Wednesday in memory of the late Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal.
The official decree stated that “all government offices, departments, boards, corporations, and educational institutions in Punjab will remain closed on Thursday (April 27).”

On his first day in Chandigarh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) office to offer his respects.S Parkash Singh Badal, the former chief minister of Punjab, was hospitalised to Fortis Hospital Mohali on April 16, 2023, with an acute exacerbation of bronchial asthma, according to the hospital’s official media release. On April 18, he was moved to the medical ICU because his respiratory status had gotten worse.
