The unmarried, widowed, or divorced male employees will now be eligible for childcare leave if they are a single parent. Recently, Haryana Cabinet approved a draft amendment to Haryana Civil Services (leave) rules, 2016. Single fathers who work at the state government will now be able to take up to 2 years of childcare leave. This leave used to be available solely to female employees.
