Delhi: 5 firefighters injured in Bawana factory fire

At least five firefighters were hurt in a blast that occurred after a big fire broke out at a plant in North West Delhi’s Bawana industrial district.

The incident happened around 11 p.m. on Wednesday, according to fire officials. According to them, 30 fire trucks were sent to the scene.

According to officials, the fire caused a blast when firefighters were attempting to extinguish the flames, causing the factory’s boundary wall and main gate to fall, wounding five firefighters.

“The injured firefighters were taken to Maharshi Balmiki Hospital and discharged after first aid,” said a fire department official.

According to officials, one firefighter received minor injuries, two experienced back pains, and one had a cut on his hand. According to officials, the business housed a three-story cosmetic manufacturing unit, and the cause of the fire is yet unknown.
