Haryana State Enforcement Bureau and mining officer’s joint teams conducted a special campaign against illegal mining throughout the state inspecting 137 sites and checking 614 vehicles. He mentioned that a total of 93 vehicles were impounded under the special campaign against illegal mining..Vij explained that among the vehicles involved in illegal mining, 23 tractor-trolleys, 31 high-capacity vehicles/dumpers, 4 JCBs, and 35 overloaded vehicles were impounded. Vij stated that a total of 137 sites were inspected/checked in the state, including 5 in Ambala, 3 in Kurukshetra, 2 in Panchkula, 12 in Yamunanagar, 12 in Faridabad, 3 in Palwal, 10 in Nuh, 2 in Gurugram, 3 in Mahendragarh, 3 in Fatehabad, 12 in Jind, 8 in Hisar, 12 in Sirsa, 3 in Karnal, 2 in Panipat, 13 in Kaithal, 6 in Jhajjar, 4 in Charkhi Dadri, 4 in Rohtak, 4 in Sonipat and 14 in Bhiwani.
Furthermore, a total of 614 vehicles have been checked/inspected were conducted, covering 22 in Ambala, 9 in Kurukshetra, 11 in Panchkula, 35 in Yamunanagar, 39 in Faridabad, 25 in Palwal, 16 in Nuh, 23 in Gurugram, 21 in Mahendragarh, 20 in Rewari, 11 in Fatehabad, 8 in Jind, 82 in Hisar, 40 in Sirsa, 35 in Karnal, 35 in Panipat, 14 in Kaithal, 35 in Jhajjar, 42 in Charkhi Dadri, 25 in Rohtak, 24 in Sonipat and 42 in Bhiwani. Vij highlighted that during the inspection, 23 tractor-trolleys were impounded in illegal mining, including 1 in Ambala, 3 in Yamunanagar, 2 in Palwal, 2 in Nuh, 5 in Mahendragarh, 2 in Rewari, and 2 each in Hisar, Sirsa, and Karnal.
31 high-capacity vehicles/dumpers were impounded in illegal mining, including 2 each in Panchkula and Yamunanagar, 5 in Faridabad, 1 in Nuh, 3 each in Gurugram, Rewari, Hisar, Karnal, Sonipat, and Bhiwani, 4 in Panipat, and 3 each in Kaithal, Jhajjar, and Rohtak.
It was further informed that 35 overloaded vehicles were impounded during the inspection, including 2 in Kurukshetra, 1 in Palwal, 4 in Gurugram, 9 in Rewari, 3 in Panipat, 9 in Charkhi Dadri and 6 in Bhiwani. In line with the directives of the Home Minister, Additional Director General of Police, Sh. A.S. Chawla, mentioned that strict measures are being taken against illegal mining activities in the state.
