Virat Kohli has dropped hints about his retirement plans, stating that he plans to leave no unfinished business when he eventually steps away from the game.

The 35-year-old Kohli is still at the top of his game and was recently named the Player of the Tournament in the 2023 ODI World Cup.

In a freewheeling chat during an RCB event, Kohli revealed that he aims to play with complete commitment till he decides to call it a day. He also said that he plans to leave no unfinished business when he decides to do retire.

“As sportsmen, we do have an end date to our careers. I’m just working backwards,” Kohli said.

“For me, I don’t want to finish my career with any undone business which I’m sure of what I want. So I want to give it everything I have till the time I play & that thing keeps me going,” he added.

Kohli has scored a record 51 centuries in ODIs, he also mentioned that he won’t be hanging around in the game as a commentator or coach after his retirement.

The former India captain is also yet to win the ICC World Test Championship. It must also be noted that Kohli generally does not talk about his retirement and this probably one of those rare occasions he has opened up on the topic.
