During a public rally in Telangana’s Bhongir, Union Home Minister Amit Shah asserted that if the BJP secures power, it will augment the reservation for SC, ST, and OBC categories while abolishing Muslim reservations. Shah criticized Congress for spreading falsehoods, stating that despite Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decade-long leadership, reservation remained intact. He accused Congress of diluting SC, ST, and OBC quotas by allocating 4% reservation to Muslims.

Shah projected BJP’s victory on more than 10 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana, attributing it to PM Modi’s leadership. He ridiculed Rahul Gandhi’s promises, contrasting Modi’s commitment to his words. Shah highlighted Gandhi’s unfulfilled pledges regarding farmer loan waivers, Rs 15,000 grants to farmers, and student loans without collateral. He criticized Congress for failing to deliver scooters to female students and establishing International Schools in every Taluka.

Continuing his onslaught, Shah accused Congress of stalling Ram Mandir construction for 70 years, contrasting it with Modi’s decisive actions in resolving the issue and abolishing Article 370. He described Congress, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), and All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) as an appeasement triangle, alleging their opposition to the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) and support for Quran-based governance and Triple Talaq. Shah highlighted their boycott of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony.

Telangana will witness polling for all 17 seats on May 13 in the fourth phase of the Lok Sabha elections, with results slated for June 4.
