Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, the President of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee, issued a statement after announcement of the Congress Lok Sabha candidate for the Ludhiana constituency.
The PPCC Chief articulated, “I stand prepared to contest the Lok Sabha constituency of Ludhiana, bolstered by the unwavering trust vested in me by the Congress leadership. I have never shied away from any challenge presented to me, and the Congress high command has deemed me fit to contest from Ludhiana. I am poised to embark upon this endeavor and shall dedicate myself wholeheartedly to achieving success.”

Further elucidating his stance, he iterated, “My campaign in Ludhiana is not merely against an individual; rather, it is against one who, having once enjoyed the trust and patronage of the Congress party, elected to forsake our cause and betray the people of Ludhiana and Punjab. Such treachery finds no place in the hearts of the electorate, as shall be evidenced on the 4th of June. I am confident in the steadfast support of the populace of Ludhiana. Bittu will soon realize that his political existence owes much to Congress, and the party’s patronage has been instrumental in shaping his career, a career now poised to come to an end.”

The PPCC Chief continued, “Throughout my political journey, I have consistently confronted established and senior leaders, from my initial Lok Sabha bid in 2012 from Gidderbaha, where I triumphed over Manpreet Badal on his home turf, to my subsequent victories in 2017 and 2022, and my spirited contest against Harsimrat Badal in 2019 from Bathinda. My resolve remains undaunted.” Regarding the forthcoming challenge in Ludhiana, Raja Warring remarked, “I am confident in the groundwork laid over the past two years in my capacity as the President of Punjab Congress. This is a battle against the BJP, and I harbor no doubt that the people of Ludhiana shall resoundingly reject the tyrannous BJP regime. There is no place for treachery in our parliamentary halls, and I am committed to securing a resounding victory in Ludhiana. The fruition of my labors over the past two years is poised to manifest on the 4th of June.”

In conclusion, Raja Warring expressed his gratitude, stating, “I am grateful to Mallikarjun Kharge Ji and Rahul Gandhi Ji for their unwavering confidence in me and for positioning me against a turncoat who betrayed the secular ideology of Congress in favor of the RSS ideology for mere political gain. It is imperative that power be entrusted only to those worthy of trust. This is a battle between loyalty to Punjab and betrayal to our state. With the blessings of the divine and the support of the people of Ludhiana, I am confident of securing a resplendent victory.”
