‘Stranger Things’ star Millie Bobby Brown has discussed her experience performing her own stunts in Netflix’s new film, ‘Damsel,’ as reported by The Hollywood Reporter. In a recent appearance on ‘The Drew Barrymore Show,’ Brown compared herself to Tom Cruise, known for doing his own stunts, stating, “I feel like the female version of Tom Cruise. I did all my own stunts from start to finish.”
Acknowledging her fear of performing stunts, Brown admitted, “I’m really scared about doing my own stunts. Stunts are scary. You’re just like, ‘I’m not physically trained to do this.'” Despite her apprehension, Brown remained focused on the task at hand, saying, “You’re just like, ‘Are we really gonna, like, am I really gonna do that stunt?’ And then that day they’re like, ‘Yep, put the harness on.'”
‘Damsel’ is a fantasy-action film in which Brown plays Princess Elodie, who seeks to free herself and seek revenge after learning that her prince’s family plans to sacrifice her to a dragon to settle an old debt. The movie also features Angela Bassett and Robin Wright, with Wright recently praising Brown as “a little powerhouse.”
During her appearance on ‘The Drew Barrymore Show,’ Brown also praised her co-stars, particularly Bassett, whom she described as “an amazing person” with “great presence.” She added, “To observe her and watch her work, you’re just like, ‘Wow, you’ve always been good.'”
‘Damsel’ is set to premiere on Netflix, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
