A wreath-laying ceremony was conducted on Wednesday for Territorial Army jawan Hilal Ahmad Bhat, who was abducted and killed by terrorists in the Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Bhat’s mortal remains were brought back to his hometown in Nowgam, where Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha paid tribute by laying a wreath in honor of the soldier who sacrificed his life for the nation.

As news of Hilal’s death spread, thousands of mourners gathered to pay their last respects. The crowd, chanting “Hilal tere khoon se Inkalab aayega” (Inkalab will rise from your blood), expressed their unwavering resolve, indicating that his martyrdom would strengthen their resistance against forces attempting to destabilize the region.

“Jab tak suraj, chand rahega, Hilal tera naam rahega.” These chants resonated through the valley, showcasing the resilience of the Kashmiri people and their deep respect for their fallen hero.

As Hilal began his final journey, tributes flowed in from all over the country, with many praising his courage and commitment to duty.

The body of Territorial Army jawan Hilal Ahmed Bhat, who was abducted by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag region, was found with gunshot wounds on Wednesday. The soldier had been missing since Tuesday, prompting security forces to launch search operations in the area.

Reports indicate that two soldiers from the 161 unit of the Territorial Army were kidnapped on October 8 during an anti-terror operation in the forests of Anantnag. However, one of the soldiers managed to escape despite sustaining two bullet injuries.

A search operation was conducted, and hours later, Hilal’s body was discovered.
