Haryana Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation( HSCFDC) has provided financial assistance of Rs. 2026.19 lakh to 2556 beneficiaries of scheduled castes under various schemes during the financial year 2022–23 until February 2023. A subsidy of Rs. 165.71 lakh is also included in the assistance.
According to an official spokesperson, loans of various types are made available to people from scheduled castes in order for them to establish businesses and generate self-employment opportunities. These categories include agriculture and related sectors, industrial sectors, business sectors, and the self-employment sector. Financial assistance is also being provided to them under the schemes implemented with the help of the National Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation.
The spokesman said that under agriculture and allied sectors, loans worth Rs. 660.98 lakh have been made available to 927 beneficiaries for dairy farming, sheep rearing, piggeries, and jhota buggy. Out of this, Rs. 601.37 lakh has been released as a bank loan and Rs. 59.51 lakh as a subsidy. Similarly, under the trade and business sector, an amount of Rs 21.90 lakh was provided to 41 beneficiaries, out of which Rs 17.27 lakh was released as a bank loan, Rs 2.44 lakh as a subsidy, and Rs 2.19 lakh as margin money.
He informed us that financial assistance of Rs. 148.90 lakh was provided to 162 beneficiaries under various self-employment schemes under National Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation (NSFDC)-aided schemes. In this, the direct loan share of the National Scheduled Finance and Development Corporation is Rs. 115.55 lakh, and the direct share of the Haryana Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation is Rs. 25.69 lakh.
In addition to this, a subsidy of Rs. 7.66 lakh was also distributed. The spokesman said that, apart from this, financial assistance of Rs. 26.10 lakh was provided to 26 beneficiaries during this period with the help of the National Safai Karamcharis Finance & Development Corporation (NSKFDC).
