The Mission Director of HSHDA Haryana, Dr. Ranbir Singh, along with Tehsildar Vivek Goyal and SDM Kalka, Lakshit Sareen, were the special guests at the district seminar that the Horticulture Department in Panchkula arranged. Dr. Kuldeep Singh, the district horticulture officer for Panchkula, greeted the chief guest, distinguished guests, and representatives from other departments at the district-level seminar. By choosing horticulture crops and leading by example, he inspired horticulture farmers to increase their income by providing comprehensive information about all the schemes associated with the Horticulture Department.
A specialist in horticulture and agriculture from the Agricultural Science Center in Panchkula, Dr. Rajesh Lather, gave farmers advice on contemporary agricultural practices and ways to combat different crop diseases. An official from the Agriculture Department in Panchkula named Dr. Jaiprakash gave information on the drone training strategy as well as programs that help farmers. Farmers were provided with complete information regarding all fisheries schemes by Fisheries Officer Dr. Neelam. Tarun Dhiman showcased products connected to beekeeping at the conference, while progressive farmer Virendra Bajwa set up a kiosk showing button mushrooms and medicinal mushrooms. The department’s designated agency set up stalls with power weeders, spray pumps, pheromones, and sticks to fight hazardous insects in fruits and vegetables, and farmer Sunil Jindal displayed preserved farmed products.
Additionally, IFFCO set up a booth to display its goods, and Field Manager Gurpreet Singh oversaw it. Discussions during the event focused on how progressive farmers adopted horticulture crops to boost their revenue and encouraged others to follow suit. Horticulture Development Officer Block Raipur Rani and Barwala Kiran Sagwal oversaw the stage. During the district-level seminar, the chief guest, special guest, officers from all departments, progressive farmers, and other attendees extended a cordial welcome to Dr. Pradeep Kumar Bola, the Horticulture Development Officer, Block Pinjore, and Technical Assistant/Assistant Project attendees.
