Before the 82nd Annual Golden Globe Awards, Selena Gomez and her fiancé Benny Blanco had not yet made an appearance together on a red carpet. Although they opted not to pause for a photo opportunity on the carpet, Benny stayed close to Selena for the duration of the event.
As is traditional at the Golden Globes, no one is immune to the host’s sharp humor, and this year, Benny and Selena became the subjects of comedian Nikki Glaser’s playful banter.
Nikki opened with, “Selena Gomez is here, a double nominee tonight for Emilia Perez and Only Murders [In The Building], and she’s attending tonight with her new fiancé, Benny Blanco. ” She added, “And Benny Blanco is present because of the genie that granted that wish. Man, lucky guy. ”
The couple took the humor in good spirits, with Selena jokingly pretending to be the fortunate one as Benny laughed and kissed her shoulder.

Selena Gomez has garnered nominations in two categories: Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture for Emilia Perez and Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy for Only Murders in the Building.
The roast quickly became popular on social media, with fans enjoying the amusing exchange. One person tweeted, “Selena Gomez’s fiancé, Benny Blanco, getting roasted at this year’s #GoldenGlobes was the best part of the show. ” Another noted, “Selena and Benny bracing for impact because they knew Nikki was gonna roast them. ”
