In a preview of his upcoming interview, actor and director Justin Baldoni spoke about his emotional struggles during what he described as an “intense year” amid his ongoing legal battle with former co-star Blake Lively.

According to Page Six, the 40-year-old actor, known for his role in Jane the Virgin, became emotional while discussing the toll that the legal dispute with Lively has taken on him.

In the teaser clip, Baldoni states, “I had an intense year,” acknowledging that the stress from recent events, particularly the lawsuit, has triggered anxiety.

The clip then shows Baldoni before the screen fades to black, leaving viewers with a raw and emotional moment.

Filmed in November, the full interview is set to air on February 10. Baldoni’s candid revelation comes as he remains embroiled in a very public legal feud with Lively, his co-star from It Ends With Us.

Lively has accused Baldoni of sexual harassment and claims he orchestrated a smear campaign against her.

These allegations were first outlined in a complaint filed with the California Civil Rights Department, which later escalated into a formal lawsuit, as reported by Page Six.

Baldoni has vehemently denied Lively’s claims. In response, he filed a defamation lawsuit against The New York Times over its coverage of the case. Additionally, on January 16, he pursued legal action against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and their publicist, filing a $400 million lawsuit, as per Page Six.

Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, has stated that the legal battles have significantly affected Baldoni both emotionally and financially.

During a pre-trial conference, Freedman remarked that Baldoni has been “devastated” by the case.

Freedman, who also represents Baldoni’s production company, Wayfarer Studios, and others involved in It Ends With Us, added that the case’s public nature has made it difficult for Baldoni to fight the allegations effectively.

In an attempt to clear his name, Baldoni has taken steps to publicly defend himself by releasing raw footage from the It Ends With Us set and launching a website that includes text message exchanges between him and Lively.

Despite these efforts, his attorney maintains that the damage has already been done, noting that once accusations are made, they are often perceived as fact, making them hard to refute.

The trial between Baldoni and Lively is set for May 2026.
