Jocelyn Wildenstein, ‘Catwoman’ Passes Away at 84

The “Catwoman,” Jocelyn Wildenstein, passed away in Paris at the age of 84. According to her long-time partner, fashion designer Lloyd Klein, she passed away peacefully on December 31, 2024, when she was sleeping. Doctors ultimately determined that she died of heart failure after Klein said he discovered her unconscious while preparing a supper for New Year’s Eve.

Life and Legacy

Born on August 5, 1940, in Lausanne, Switzerland, Jocelyn Wildenstein, originally Jocelynnys Dayannys da Silva Bezerra Périsset lived a life of change, luxury, and uniqueness. From a simple childhood, she rose to international celebrity status following her marriage to billionaire art dealer Alec Wildenstein in 1978, where she became a high-society staple in New York.

Cosmetically, bold surgeries that went as far as giving her an aesthetic feline look branded her “Catwoman,” and although she was shunned by people, Jocelyn never felt sorry for expressing herself against normal beauty standards. Her highly publicized divorce at the turn of the 1990s set a new mark in history due to its large settlement reportedly pegged at $2.5 billion.

Apart from the controversy, Jocelyn’s life stood for courage and the nerve to live a life of truth. She found love and inspiration during her later years in her affair with fashion designer Lloyd Klein. The legacy of Jocelyn Wildenstein is the story of individualism, transformation, and challenges in public life.

The Last Chapter

Since August 2024, Jocelyn Wildenstein and Lloyd Klein have lived in Paris. Two weeks before her death, Jocelyn was reportedly in good spirits, which made the news of her death all the more shocking. According to Klein, who was devastated by the loss of his fiancée, she died peacefully. Her life, marked by wealth, change, and tenacity, is a legacy that continues to captivate people to this day.
