Renner described the mishap, which happened close to his Reno vacation house. After a blizzard, Renner had hopped into his snowplough to clear the driveway and tow a car. While trying to assist his nephew, Alex Fries, Renner fell out of the vehicle and got caught underneath, leading to the crushing accident. He praised the quick actions of his neighbours and family, who helped him in those critical moments before paramedics arrived.
