George Clooney was reunited with his ‘ER’ co-stars Julianna Margulies, Anthony Edwards, and Noah Wyle on the night of the Broadway premiere of his play ‘Good Night and Good Luck’ on Thursday evening.

In making his stage return with the Broadway premiere of Good Night and Good Luck, the play version of his hit 2005 film, the Wolfs star made a comeback.
Star-Studded Guest List Lights Up the Evening
Among the guests was Jennifer Lopez, Clooney’s co-star in the 1998 film Out of Sight. Lopez had her daughter Emme in tow and paused to take photos at the event. Also looking stylish was Rande Gerber, Clooney’s old friend and business partner in the Casamigos tequila company, who came with his supermodel wife Cindy Crawford and their daughter Kaia Gerber.

Topping off the star power on the red carpet were Pierce Brosnan and wife Keely Shaye Smith, and Clooney’s ER co-stars Julianna Margulies and Anthony Edwards. Also greeting the evening were Gayle King, actor Richard Kind, and TV journalist George Stephanopoulos and his wife Ali Wentworth.

But the question on everybody’s mind now is: Where’s Clooney’s wife, global human rights attorney Amal Clooney? When questioned about where she was, George explained to Extra, “She was with the kids.”

Interestingly, during a recent appearance on Good Day New York, Clooney dropped some news that he’s been in New York City for around a month with Amal and their twins, Alexander and Ella. He explained that the kids are now in school.
Clooney Channels Edward R. Murrow On Stage
Clooney played the lead role of legendary broadcast journalist Edward R. Murrow, repeating the story he originally co-created and directed on the big screen. The play, as was the case with the film, focuses on Murrow’s braving reporting on the McCarthy period. The opening ended in a standing ovation and thundering applause.

“I can handle it, I think I’ll be okay,” he said, adding with a grin said Clooney he added “I’m not dead yet!”
Clooney added “I was nervous. I wanted to write the play, and I didn’t really think about doing it because I haven’t done a play in like 40 years.”
Earlier this, during an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the veteran Batman star compared acting on ‘ER’ for five seasons as “It’s weird,” and added, “When I did ‘ER,’ we’d do 12 pages a day of medical dialogue, and you could just come in and whip it out. I was 30.”
